Patrick K. Schmidt, ASA, MBA is the President of Value Consulting Group. Patrick has been providing business valuation and litigation support services on a full-time basis since 1991, and has completed more than 2,500 business valuation projects. Prior to founding Value Consulting Group, Patrick has held leadership positions at three regional CPA and consulting firms.

Patrick has obtained the senior designation in business valuation (ASA) from the American Society of Appraisers, one of the oldest and most respected appraisal organizations in the United States. He is a frequent speaker on valuation topics, and has written several articles as well.

Patrick assists clients in business valuation and litigation support issues, including mergers and acquisitions, marital dissolutions, estate planning, damage and lost profit calculations, intangible asset valuation and management planning. He was also an adjunct instructor at the University of St. Thomas MBA program in Minneapolis/St. Paul from 2002 through 2009.

Jennifer L. Loeffler, CPA/ABV, ASA is an Owner and Vice President of Value Consulting Group.  Jennifer has been part of the financial services industry since 1997 where she began her career providing audit and tax services for a large regional accounting firm.  In 2001, she became involved in business valuation and litigation support work and has since managed and led hundreds of engagements of this type.  Jennifer then founded her own business valuation and litigation support practice in 2005.  Through the growth and success of this practice she became co-founder of Value Consulting Group.

As a business valuation expert, Jennifer has worked in various settings including marital dissolution, financial reporting, shareholder disputes, estate planning, merger and acquisition, employee stock ownership plans (ESOP), and commercial litigation.  Jennifer holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation through the American Society of Appraisers as well as the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. 

Jennifer also specializes in divorce litigation support by working with family law attorneys to gather and analyze financial information critical to the financial futures of their clients and the resolution of their cases.  Working as a financial expert in this area involves various aspects of the divorce process including the development of property settlement options, non-marital tracing of assets, self-employed income analysis, and future cash flow analysis.  In addition, Jennifer has experience working as a Rule 706 neutral, a collaborative law team member, a mediation consultant, and an external specialist to the Financial Early Neutral Evaluation (FENE) process.

Jennifer takes a client centered approach to the engagements in which she is involved and believes the best outcomes result from providing a high level of communication and education throughout the engagement.

Adam R. Benik, CPA/ABV, ASA, is a Senior Analyst with Value Consulting Group. Adam joined Value Consulting Group in 2007 after spending six years at a regional accounting firm.  After obtaining a background and three years of experience in accounting and tax, Adam began focusing on providing business valuation and litigation support services in 2004.  Since then, Adam has completed over 200 business valuation projects.

Adam is certified as Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  Adam also holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation from the American Society of Appraisers, one of the most highly regarded appraisal organizations in the United States.

At Value Consulting Group, Adam provides business valuation consulting and litigation support services, and ensures projects are completed at a high level of quality in a timely, professional manner.  Adam assists clients with business valuation and litigation support issues related to marital dissolution, estate planning, management planning, mergers and acquisitions, intangible assets, ESOPs and damage and lost profit calculations.

Heather J. Geiman, ASA is a Senior Analyst with Value Consulting Group.  Heather joined Schmidt Financial, Inc., one of Value Consulting Group’s predecessor firms, in 2008 after spending five years at a small accounting firm, where she performed business valuation, non-marital tracing, cash flow analysis, and various other litigation support services.  Prior to that, Heather spent three years at a large, regional accounting firm where she spent two years working as a staff accountant before she began focusing on providing business valuation and litigation support services.  Since Heather began providing business valuation and litigation support services in 2002, she has completed more than 150 business valuation projects. 

Heather has obtained the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation in business valuation from the American Society of Appraisers, one of the most highly regarded appraisal organizations in the United States.

At Value Consulting Group, Heather provides business valuation, non-marital tracing, cash flow analysis and other litigation support services, and ensures projects are completed at a high level of quality in a timely, professional manner. Quinn A. Driscoll, CPA, is a Financial Analyst with Value Consulting Group. Quinn joined Value Consulting Group in 2010 after working in state government, where she performed audits of state agencies, determining compliance with state and federal regulations and developing recommendations for enhancement of state programs. Prior to that, Quinn began her career at a Big Four accounting firm, providing audit and advisory services to a variety of companies in the financial services and retail and consumer products industries. Quinn is designated as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in two states.

At Value Consulting Group, Quinn provides business valuation consulting and litigation support services, and ensures projects are completed at a high level of quality in a timely, professional manner. Quinn assists clients with business valuation and litigation support issues related to marital dissolution, estate planning, shareholder dissolution, ESOPs and management planning.
